IVR stands for Interactive Voice Response. It is a technology that allows humans to interact with a computer using their phone. Our IVR system merges the basic functionality of a traditional IVR system with the advanced features required by market research surveys. It was built from the ground up with the market research professional in mind.

The MAXimum Research IVR system is both cost effective and powerful. It offers many of the advantages of traditional telephone studies at a fraction of the cost. The survey scripts can contain advanced skip logic, rotations and randomizations, calculated values and sample and/or script based quota controls. Responses to open ended questions are automatically recorded for individual review and/or coding. You can be sure that each survey will be conducted consistently and without bias.

Inbound Surveys The IVR system is an ideal solution for inbound projects including customer and employee satisfaction surveys. Respondents can participate at their convenience since the IVR system is always on. The IVR can also be recorded in multiple languages so any qualified respondent can participate. Response Triggered Alerts via email, text message or phone call can instantly inform managers of specific answers or low ratings to prompt immediate action. Respondents can also be transferred to a live agent when required.

Outbound We offer a cost effective solution for short, high-volume outbound surveys. Quickly field your political poll or get the pulse of your population with an outbound IVR. Consistently administer tracking studies across multiple waves. Quota controls can be based on sample variables or scripted responses or a combination of both. How Do We Limit the Number of Calls in Multi-Voter Households? IVR technology has an inherent problem with voter identification during a survey. The surveys cannot easily ask for a particular name, confirm a name during a call or prompt another household member to the phone. To handle this issue we've created a "matching algorithm"to identify the voter in the household that participates in the survey.

The basic idea behind it is relatively simple. The voter sample file is ordered with a household id marker (we've used phone number and/or address when a marker was not available). This "match" file contains multiple voter records per household when necessary. From this file we extract a "call" file of unique household phone numbers. The IVR system calls the phone numbers from the "call" file. The script prompts the respondent for his/her age and gender. The IVR system then queries the original "match" voter sample file for a voter in that household with the same age and gender. If a match is found then the survey proceeds and the individual voter sample information from the "match" file is appended to the data set. If no match is found we can either proceed with the survey or mark it as "no match" or we can simply terminate the survey at that point. This method allows us to accurately identify the voter in the household who completes the survey and limits the amount of calls made into multi-voter households.
